Coconut Milk & Honey Hair Mask For Silky Hair!

 

 

Hello everyone!

 

Let's talk about this hair mask and how refreshing it is. It is one of my favorites not only because it smells delicious but because of all its benefits.

 

Let's start with what you will need...

 

Ingredients:

 

1 Can of Organic Coconut MILK

 

2 tbs of Organic Honey

 

1 Vitamin E Capsule or 2 drops of Vitamin E Oil 400 IU

 

 

I always like to give a visual so here are some samples:

 

 

 

 

 

 

The more organic and natural your product is the best results you will get. All these products are simple to use and will benefit you in multiple ways and for multiple hair recipes.

 

 

Directions:

 

I have very long hair so I tend to use bigger amounts on my hair. You can always adjust according to how long your hair is or how much you feel like using.

 

 

In a bowl

 

-I add the can of Coconut Milk (you can add half if you like and save the other half) I sometimes do it all and do the mask twice a week.

 

- 2 tbs of Honey

 

 

-1 Vitamin E Capsule (squeeze the oil out into the milk and honey mixture

 

or 2 drops of Vitamin E Oil

 

 

Mix it together and let it sit for 5 to 10 minutes. Right before applying it mix again.

 

A LITTLE SECRET SHHH:

 

I will share my secret tool easy no mess hair mask application. I use a SQUEEZE BOTTLE WITH A TIP and put all my mixture inside. That way I don't contaminate any left over mask and it's easier to add to my roots and hair. Try it it's easy and time saving!

 

(If the hole is too small simply snip it with a pair of scissors)

 

 

 

 

TIPS:

 

Wear and old shirt and put a towel over your shoulders this will get wet and wild (lol)

Start with your roots and work your way to your ends.

 

Leave in hair for as little as 30 minutes or for as long as a few hours. If you need to take it off quickly or you want it to penetrate deeper then just turn on your blower or drier and give it some heat.

 

MASSAGE:

 

Very important to massage in scalp. Take the tip of your fingers and making circular motions massage the hair mask into your scalp. You want as much of it to penetrate your scalp and bring in all those nutrients.

Once you are ready to remove just wash your hair with a shampoo. Don't use harsh shampoo's please. Try to use a hydrating shampoo that will add moisture to your hair.

 

Your hair will be so soft and silky you will love it!!!

BENEFITS:



Coconut Milk :

Coconut milk is good for so many things but, we will focus on some of it's hair benefits.

It contains vitamin E and fats, which can prove effective in moisturizing hair. Fresh coconut milk can nourish hair and promote hair growth. It can be used for controlling excessive hair fall as well.

The list can go on and on when it comes to Coconut Milk. It will leave your hair feeling like silk.

Applying coconut milk on your scalp gives a cooling sensation. It nourishes your hair by giving natural moisture from roots to ends. You can apply some fresh homemade coconut milk and massage for three to five minutes. Leave it for 20 minutes and shampoo your hair as usual. This will boost the hair follicles and stimulate hair growth. This is particularly beneficial for restoring dry, damaged, weakened and brittle hair as well as split ends.

Honey:

1. Honey is an emollient which means it is a natural softener. This makes it a great hair conditioner that smoothens your hair.
2. It is a natural antioxidant, so it tends to make your scalp healthy and stimulate hair growth.
3. As honey is an emollient, it also improves the health of the hair follicles which are responsible for hair growth. Researchers say that proper use of honey of treatment of hair can waken up the sleeping hair follicles which boost the growth of hair.
4. We all know that honey is a humectant, it tends to prevent the loss of moisture from your scalp. But honey has also high sugar content which helps to retain moisture. This as a result prevents hair fall and strengthens the hair follicles.
5. Honey also comprises of antibacterial and antiseptic qualities too. This prevents our scalp from infections or psoriasis and tends to keep our scalp clean and bacteria-free. This also keeps us away from dandruff and itchiness on your scalp.
6. If your hair is dry or increased pollution and direct exposure to sun as made them lifeless, then use of honey can bring back that lost sheen and shine of your hair.

Vitamin E:

Vitamin E for hair growth is advantageous because it has an effect on your scalp for a long time. A massage with vitamin E oil for hair increases blood circulation and boosts oxygen supply to the scalp. It is for this reason that it is recommended to massage the hair and scalp with Vitamin E oil, once a week for five months to solve hair loss problems. If intake of vitamin E supplements is accompanied along with massage treatments – the problem of hair loss will be solved much faster and in a more effective manner.

Rusk Sensories For Color Treated Hair- Mandarin & Jasmine

As promised, it is now the beginning of our sharing journey!

I'm starting of with a product that at this moment has been a life save or better said a "Hair" saver for me. I am expecting and it has been a very tough pregnancy. With that being said, I have zero time to sit down and pamper my long locks. This product has been amazing to me.

Actually, I came across Rusk at TJ Maxx while shopping for a gift. I needed a conditioner and I saw Rusk Sensories Conditioner for color treated hair. ~ Leaves your hair as soft as Silk and detangles hair (Always a plus for me do to the length of my hair)

~ A little goes a LONG way! Which means that the product last a very long time. *Plus in my book*

~ Paraban Free and has ARGAN

Con's

~ I seriously have found none and I must add that I have been using it for a few months now. About 3 months and every time is just like the first time!

Nearly miraculous

My hair is almost waist length, color treated with heavy highlights, pretty dry & porous, fine but thick, and hard to detangle, but this conditioner makes it soft, EASY to detangle, and shiny! This stuff is worth its weight in gold! When I get my taxes back I'm getting a 32 oz. bottle of it. Worth every penny!

I just love it.

This conditioner along with its matching shampoo has done a brilliant job on maintaining my died hair color. I just love it.

Finally after many request from friends and family I have created this blog to share my personal hair solutions. I am more than happy to let you in on my hair little secrets and not so secret recipes and products for  healthy and strong hair. You can follow my other blogs on the right on "view my profile" under my picture. For those that don't know me I have several passions and taking care of my hair is one of them. I have very long hair which reaches under my tush. My mother always says, that if you want long hair then you need to take care of it. Let me tell you she was right!

That being said, I have so  many hair solutions that have been amazing to me over the years and I will be posting them here. Keep in mind that these products or recipe's have been successful on me but every hair is different. Therefore, if it doesn't work on you then move to the next and don't give up!

Through out the years I have used many products because my hair gets "accustomed" to products after some time. I don't know what that is about but hey. I guess it's similar to eating something you really like, a lot of times and then getting tired of it ;)
